At the end of September, Shine Church launched our first Project Honor event. I still find myself in awe and humbled by what God did that night and how He has chosen to use Tori and I to challenge people to hold out for honor.
One of the aspects of Project Honor is a simple truth that regardless of where you’ve been or what you’ve done, God’s love for you doesn’t waiver or change. Whether you have had sex or you’re still a virgin, we need Jesus’ strength to pursue honor and to rest in His strength. Regardless of our path, He loves us still.
Several months prior to Project Honor, I heard a song from one of my favorite worship teams. The lyrics of the bridge declared this truth by claiming, “You don’t miss a thing, but You love me still.” That line has stuck with me since the first time I heard it and has had a tremendous impact on my heart as we entered into our first Project Honor event.
With this vision of Project Honor and that line of the song, we asked a friend to write a spoken word for that very night. Every time I hear the words he wrote, it gives me chills and the more powerful that message becomes. It is one of the most powerful things I have ever heard. We asked him to film this special version of the spoken word he did that night so that more people could hear the truth that God doesn’t miss a thing, but He loves us still.
